CLASS CONDUCT
There's really only
ONE
classroom rule:
"This is my commandment, that you LOVE one another, as I have loved you."
- John 15:12
EASY, right?
...unless you don't really understand the verb in the sentence;
many people don't.

Love
is the verb,
and it's one of those cool words that can be a verb or a noun.
Like the word rake...
Dad says, "Rake the backyard." (verb)
"Use the rake that's in the shed." (noun)
Here's
the noun:
Here's
the verb:
So,
our class rule says
to love (verb) one another.
Remember: Love can be a noun (person, place, thing, or idea) and a
verb (action word or state of being).
Below is a fantastic description
of
Love, the noun.
(For your convenience, I listed how that equates to Love, the verb.)
You can thank me later. : D
Love is patient; (So, we will be patient in class. This is Love in action form! )
Love is kind. (So, we will be kind in class. You will love by acting kind.)
Love does not envy; (So, we will not be envious. Again, Love in action form.)
is not arrogant; (So, we will not be arrogant. So, do not act arrogantly.)
Are you getting this??
I think you are.
Love is not rude; (We will not be rude in class. Do you feel the Love?)
****If you are having a hard time Loving,
Your first warning will be a friendly reminder.
Love does not act improperly; (So, we will act properly. Your parents taught you how to act properly; don't stray from it.)
Love is not selfish; (So, we will not be selfish in class. Isn't this easy??!)
****If you are finding that it is NOT easy,
Your second warning will be your name on the board.
Love is not provoked; (Don't allow others to provoke you, and you don't provoke others! Don't bother your neighbor by talking when you both should be listening.)
Love does not keep record of wrongs; (Basically, don't hold a grudge against others.)
****If it's just impossible for you to put Love into action,
Your third warning will result in a phone call to mom and dad. (This probably won't end well for you.)
Love finds no joy in unrighteousness, (Don't get all excited about misbehaving, and don't giggle at someone who is misbehaving.)
Love
rejoices in truth;
bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.
So.......
If you have any qualms about the real meaning of Love, and how to put it into action,
take it up with the author of the Word. (and your parents.)
